When Traveling, Get Out of Your Bubble

Many people love to travel around the world and meet interesting people, partake in interesting cultures and walk around a location as if they are part of it.  However many travelers who spend lots of money on their dream vacation, visit a new culture and don’t bother to immerse themselves into the culture.  Whether it is due to the fact that we only have a few days to visit each location or awkwardness that is felt surrounded by another’s culture, many times when we travel we never get out of our bubble.

Most people that get two weeks of vacation a year, want to relax and not think about work, however if you get a chance to travel for a month or several months at a time, this may allow you to really experience many parts of the world.  Experiencing another culture is subjective.  For many people it is talking to people of that culture, or eating the local cuisine. For many people experiencing another culture is living among the community for several months at a time taking in all the pleasures of that culture such as food, music, architecture and people.

While living in another culture is not for everyone for diehard travelers it makes perfect sense to really experience how other people live.  For many people they feel challenged and grow intellectually by stepping out of their bubble and living amongst a new kind of people.  So the next time you plan a trip, ask yourself if you truly wan to step out of your bubble and experience other cultures.

Grand Cayman Island

Most people love to go on vacation to exotic tropical paradises. For some, nothing comes close to that tropical paradise ideal than Grand Cayman Island.  Grand Cayman Island is a wonderful island in the Caribbean Ocean, it is near Cuba and Cancun.

Grand Cayman Island is usually a little different to the other Caribbean Islands because they have a strong infrastructure and excellent economy.  Banking is extremely popular and a lot of wealthy individuals and companies have assets in Grand Cayman Island banks due to their lenient financial laws.

If you love beauty, Grand Cayman Island is just like a picture postcard. Grand Cayman Island sports beautiful beaches and unbelievable coves.  One of their beaches, Seven Mile Beach is a treat for all beachgoers.  The water is extremely still and you can walk out for yards into the water without the water reaching the height of your shoulders.

The island was originally owned by the United Kingdom, so you can see a lot of British culture on the island.  One thing that has stayed is the traffic laws.  Driving on Grand Cayman Island is an adventure due to fact that you drive on the left side of the road.  So if you are looking for a great place to travel to, choose Grand Cayman Island.
